An opportunity awaits you as a Senior Software Engineer at Kongsberg Maritime. You will find your permanent role within our growing inhouse software development team developing modern systems for Remote & Autonomous operations within Kongsberg Maritime, Remote Operation Solutions team.

We are looking for an experienced C++ Software Engineer with a genuine passion for software craftmanship.

Responsibilities

You will participate in work related to development of systems related to the R&A context.

Tasks that this role focuses on is

• Develop and maintain core modules related to the Remote Operation Center
• Design, implement and test solutions in an agile manner
• Participate in technical work in system to system maritime integrations
• Enhance the software development process and practices together with the team
  
  

Qualifications And Experience

• This position requires a bachelors degree in information technology or in a similar field or equivalent technical capability based on practical knowledge from multiple years of experience in a software engineering role. These key qualifications are most essential
• C++ development, or similar programming language
• Strong troubleshooting skills
• Linux and Windows operating system technical knowledge
• Understanding of modern software development environment
• Good understanding of Docker
• Good written and spoken communication skills
