About the job

Sanoma is looking for an experienced Data Engineer, with strong cloud skills. The engineer is hired for our B2B Campaign Performance and Reporting multi-talented team, with a HR homebase in the Cloud Data Engineering Competence team. If you have a proven track record with data pipelines and want to make an impact on the Finnish media industry, you might be the expert we are looking for!

In this role, you will:

• Build and maintain integrations, data processing pipelines, data storages
• Get to work on Snowflake enterprise data warehouse, for data as a product and data products
• Develop CI/CD solutions and automations
• Work closely with data scientists, software developers, data engineers, and business teams
• Act as a technical mentor to junior data engineers and participate in decision-making
  
  

We expect you to have:

• Strong experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS)
• Strong experience designing and maintaining scalable data pipelines using code or ETL/ELT
• Proficiency in cloud data services, especially in AWS cloud
• Expertise in SQL and Python programming for data engineering tasks
• Familiarity with CI/CD best practices and tools for automating data workflows
• Hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code tools
• Practical experience with data quality frameworks, monitoring, and alerting
• Understanding of modern data lake and data warehouse architectures
• Ability to work in an agile, business-oriented environment
• Fluent English skills (Finnish is a plus)
• Residence and work permit in Finland (a requirement for the position)
