We are looking for you, a Senior Backend Developer, to join us for an impactful and exciting journey in a scaleup environment.

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

Vapaus is on a journey to provide the best possible service for corporate clients. Our mission is to bring value to our customers, partner shops and colleagues.

As a senior backend developer your main responsibilities are:

• Build and improve our backend, make sure that our systems are reliable, scalable and secure.

• Participate in the deployment and maintenance of our infrastructure to ensure a great user and developer experience.

• Work closely with team members or partners to design and build quality solutions.

ABOUT YOU

• 
  You have a strong background in Python and some experience on parts of our stack, like FastAPI or Postgres.

• You have some experience building, managing and monitoring cloud infrastructure like GCP using Terraform.

• You have a focus on quality while knowing how to balance technical debt and perfectionism. You know that software is built for its users and you are not just looking for the next cool stuff.

• You can communicate ideas or technical decisions clearly, either to other developers or to non-technical people.

• Nice to have: experience and interest in financial, payments or invoicing systems.

• You are based in Finland or Sweden.

WHAT WE PROMISE TO YOU

• Monthly salary between 4500-6500 depending on your work experience.

• You may work mostly remotely, use our office space at Sörnäinen, Helsinki or use of our coworking pass. The choice is yours.
