KONE Technology and Innovation Unit (KTI) is where the magic happens at KONE. It's where we combine the physical world escalators and elevators with smart and connected digital systems. R&D unit in KTI is responsible for developing digital services at KONE. Its the development engine for our Digital Services such as KONE 24/7 Connected Services, Office Flow and Partnership Ecosystem.

We are now looking for several software developer positions

(Principal/Lead) Software Developers, KCL Platform

to join our team and help us build and develop our platform for our growing family of onsite devices

What is our challenge for you?

We have a growing family of onsite devices running our embedded Linux Platform. The next chapter of our platform brings edge capabilities to KONEs global fleet. We continue to develop features for our elevator base and also for escalators, UI devices and more. We need developers who can help simplify this landscape and make our platform scale through decomposition and well-defined APIs.

To be successful in this role

• You have 5+ years of experience in embedded Linux system software development
• You have excellent and current C++ skills
• You design, develop and maintain software by default
• You strive to simplify complex systems
• You have worked with containerization
• You know Yocto
• You love to automate
• You love Linux

What can we offer for you?

You will be working with our experts in agile software development teams, building new functionality in our onsite compute devices. Our devices are helping to bring connectivity to KONEs elevators, escalators and UI devices on a harmonized Linux platform.

We offer

We offer flexible working time, remote working opportunities and we also support commuting to work. In this role, you can work from our Hyvinkää or Espoo offices as a primary location, if that's more convenient location for you and as we have a hybrid working model, you can work remotely a few days a week.
