We are now looking for an
Expert Software Developer to join our skilled Information Systems team within Technical Information. The role is offered as a permanent contract and the preferred location is
Vaasa, Finland. In accordance with our hybrid work model, you will be able to work partially remotely.

Expert Software Developer or
Senior Software Developer. What will you be doing? The Information Systems team is dedicated to developing applications that support the creation, maintenance, and delivery of Technical Informations primary deliverables. These include, but are not limited to, operation and maintenance manuals, spare part catalogues, service bulletins, technical identification of spare parts, and code resolution.
As an
Expert Software Developer, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining and enhancing our software systems. You will take ownership of assigned applications, serving as both a developer and an information architect. To excel in this role, you must have a strong understanding of processes and master data, and the ability to develop software systems with this knowledge.
Your responsibilities for the role include, but are not limited to: - Supporting, maintaining, and enhancing existing applications.
- Participating in new development projects.
- Contributing to the process and tooling development.
- Designing and implementing scalable and efficient software solutions.
- Ensuring the quality and performance of applications through testing and code reviews.
- Maintaining comprehensive documentation for developed software and processes.
- Providing technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers.
- Staying updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to drive innovation.
Essential qualifications: - MSc or BSc in Software Engineering or similar educational background
- Excellent skills in Java and preferably in Spring Boot.
- Proficiency in both front-end and back-end development.
- Strong understanding of databases and version control systems, particularly Git.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Proficient in English, both spoken and written.
Preferred experience: - Working with cloud environments, particularly AWS.
- Developing and integrating web services.
- Implementing unit testing.
- Practicing continuous delivery methodologies.
- Utilising containerisation technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Working with authentication technologies, including OAuth2.
